She did it!
Cali is potty trained! She really wanted a Buzz Lightyear scooter so we told her if she went on the potty all the time and wore big girl underwear then she could get it. The first couple of days were really tough and almost broke us, but after about 4 days she got it down. She is so enthusiastic about going potty and always claps afterward. She wakes up dry just about every morning. It is awesome and we are so excited that she is potty trained!

Tenzing's Laugh
Tonight while I was changing Tenzing's diaper, Cali hit the side of the changing table, and Tenzing just loved it. Usually, we try to keep our kids from hitting things close to one another, but Tenzing would have none of those silly rules.
People say Tenzing looks like me, but I see Cali in him if he is not smiling. When he laughs and smiles, though, he is like a second Katya.
And here is Katya getting in on the fun:

Why am I so excited for this week?
- No work for Jethro!
- Getting raspberries, zucchini, and cucumbers from the garden.
- Cali is potty trained!
- Lots of projects to do.
- Tenzing is very close to holding his own bottle.
- No scouts!
- Going to see the Pioneer Day parade floats tomorrow.
4th of July
We celebrated the 4th on Saturday the 3rd. We spent the afternoon at Rebekah's having a bbq and playing on all the inflatable toys. The girls had a total blast. We headed home for some naps and then out for fireworks that evening. For fireworks we headed to the Costco parking lot to overlook the Murray fireworks. The girls were able to chill in the car watching Shrek while we waited for the fireworks to start. It was so nice to watch them there and it was super easy to get out of there afterwards. We'll have to go there again next year.

Farewell Good Friends
Our very good friends, Mike and Brie Dance, just up and decided to move to Mississippi for law school. Okay, maybe it wasn't so sudden, but the time came way to quickly. The kids absolutely love Mike and Brie and Brie is the baby whisperer with Tenzing. They have been such great friends and they will truly be missed.
We threw the a going away pool party at our friend Tom's parents house. It was such a blast and it was great to be with everyone before they moved.

A couple days later Mike's parents had a going away party so we headed there.
Helping Cali up. I love catching moments that show they truly love each other.
Makes all the fighting disappear.

Parent's visit
My parent's were able to come in for Tenzing's blessing and then able to visit for awhile. We were really glad they were able to make it for his blessing, as it originally looked like they wouldn't make it. After his blessing, they headed up to Idaho for a week and then came back down. I was really lucky they were here when they were because Jethro was at an out of town conference for 5 days. They were wonderful enough to babysit the kids for me and take us out to dinner. We even made a trip downtown to the Church History Museum. It was a lot of fun to have my parents here and the girls and Tenzing really loved all of the attention. Thanks for everything Mom and Dad.

Tenzings Blessing

June 20, 2010 Tenzing's blessing was a wonderful experience and made even more special that it was done on Father's Day. Jethro gave a wonderful blessing that choked him up and brought tears to my eyes. We are grateful that all of our immediate family members were able to attend. It was so wonderful to have so many family members and wonderful friends here with us to share that day. Thank you to all those who came and your support.
Jones Family Reunion
Jethro's family all came to town and we had a big family reunion from June 18-22. W had a ton of fun and the girls loved having all heir cousins around. Cali call her cousins "friends" and is always asking "where my friends at?". She had a blast. We did a ton of stuff with everyone and I got pics of most activities.
Swimming at Murray Park
Friday afternoon we headed to the pool at Murray Park. The kids had so much fun. All Cali wanted to do was go down the slide over and over again. She must have climbed the huge ladder and gone down at least 50 times. Katy on the other hand just wanted to jump off the pool edge over and over again. Thanks to all those who helped with our kids. I have found that I don't have enough hands for 3 kids so all the help is appreciated.

Toy Story 3 and Chalk Art Festival
Saturday was spent downtown seeing Toy Story 3, visiting the Chalk Art Festival, and playing in the fountains at the Gateway. No pictures were taken, but the kids had fun. Cali loves Toy Story and was completely enthralled with the movie and sat through the whole thing. Cali still talks about going to Toy Story with her dad and friends.
Tenzing's Blessing
Sunday was Tenzing's Blessing. Because of the family reunion, we decided to have Tenzing's blessing on Father's Day. It was really great to have all of our family there and it was a lot of fun.

Park City
We spent half the day on Monday at the Olympic Park in Park City watching the ski jumpers and some of the kids went on the rides. It was pretty fun to watch ski jumpers and aerialists of all ages train by jumping into the pool. Pretty cool stuff.

Hiking
Tuesday we went hiking along the Bonneville Shoreline. It was a lot of fun and the kids did really well.
