How Do You Know it was a Good Night in the Garden?

When it was good enough you could taste it!

I enjoy working in the garden much more this year than I did last year. It was very stressful last year because of all the classes that I was taking, work, and my calling. This year, I only have my job and my calling, and it is much better without school. The girls love working out there with us. The picture never do it justice, but the girls were covered in dirt, and enjoyed eating it, too.

The Beginning of the Birthday Festivities

Staci was so excited for Katya to get the slide from Ralph and Diana, that she had to set it up as soon as she got it. Katya and Cali love it! Katya knows that "Birthday" means something that she should be excited about, because every time we mention it, she gets all excited and laughs and hides her face.

Belated Zoo Post

On April 13th Jethro was out for Spring Break so we headed to the zoo. I wish I would have remembered that when he is out for Spring Break so are all the kids. The place was packed, but it was still fun. It's nice to have a zoo pass so we don't feel like we have to spend all day there to get out money's worth. The girl's always love a good trip to the zoo.

Why Staci Should NOT Leave Me Alone to Put the Girls in Bed

Before you watch the super-cute video below, you must know how to sign Mommy. You place your thumb under your chin as in the picture above and move it up and down. Tonight when it was time for Katya to go to bed, she knew that something was not right because Mom and Dad weren't both there, it was just daddy. So, she told me that she wanted something before she could really go to bed. Watch, and enjoy.

Easter and Cali's First Crush

This Easter weekend, we had a lot of fun. We worked hard on some spring cleaning, and played hard. Thankfully, Sunday was nice so we spent some time outside with Nya and Rebekah and Susan, and we are very excited for the summer to get here so we can spend more time out there. The girls loved it, of course.

Yummy cupcakes from the fabulous book Hello, Cupcake!

Cali is going to play soccer when she gets older. She is pretty
good at kicking the ball around the yard.

Don't worry, we were about 5 feet from those telephone lines. It's
just the camera angle.

Katya loves giving people hugs.

Toting Lamby

Why am I so excited for this week?

  1. Katya did wonderful on her hearing test today and is hearing better than she ever has before. Yeah!
  2. Spring weather- maybe I can get back into taking the girls jogging in the park.
  3. Got a ton of Spring cleaning done this past weekend- closets are cleaned out, girls clothes gone through, kitchen mostly deep cleaned. It feels wonderful.
  4. Scrapbooking to do.
  5. Katya's 3rd birthday to start planning.
  6. Planting in the greenhouse.
  7. Help my friend Heather with wedding stuff.

Katya's Pancakes

So, you can tell that I don't have to go to work, because I am posting videos. This morning, Katya had some leftover pancakes for breakfast, and so did I, except I got syrup and peanut butter, she didn't. So, I was sitting next to her eating mine, and she wanted some. I cut a piece off of her pancakes, and then I dipped it in my syrup. She was so excited to eat that! Then, she started breaking pieces off her pancakes and setting them next to me to dip in syrup. This went on for a long time. When I was just about done with my pancakes, Cali woke up, and I went to get her. When I came back, my pancake was gone, and Katya was very sticky, but smiling.

Holding Hands

The weather was so nice on Tuesday, that we went out and played in the yard for a while. The girls loved it, and they held hands as they walked. It was very cute.

In this video, Katya is in rare form for the camera. She usually stops doing anything we thought was cute, and starts laughing at the camera and saying cheese. This time, however, she was more than happy to play along and continue being cute. I love Katya's laugh in this video.

Cali has recently started shrugging when she doesn't know where something is. We ask her to find Lamby, and she'll shrug, then crouch a little and race around the house trying to find him. So cute.

SALE!!!!

I am having a Spring Sale over at MunchieMe Designs. Go ahead and check it out!

So long!

Cali's hair is getting so long and I can't believe it. Even though she hates me doing her hair, i did two new styles this week. The only problem with them are they make her look way to old.

I love the two ponytails in the back.

We love bubbles!

The girls absolutely love bubbles and we had so much fun playing with them in the really nice weather we had on Monday.

Cali getting ready for the fun.

Every time I went to blow bubbles Katya would try to blow them too.
She loves blowing bubbles.

I love this picture of Cali. It totally cracks me up!

Dresses

My mom made matching dresses for the girls. The fabric is little dance shoes for the dresses and dancers on their jackets. She also made bloomers for under their dresses and made capris also. The girls love spinning in their dresses.

What I should have taken pictures of but didn't...

1. Our nieces and nephews were here last weekend for their Spring Break. It is always so much fun to see them, but they are growing up way to fast. Things I should have taken pics of while they were here:
  • taking all the kids and a dog on a walk
  • Jethro having the Jonah and Eli over and playing games (I don't think I have any recent pictures of Jethro with his two nephews that love hanging out with him.)
  • Making cookies with my nieces Nya and Anna and then making cards with Anna.
  • All the kids playing with Katya and Cali. They love to play with the girls. A big shout-out to Jonah who danced with Katya and now all she wants to do is dance.
  • Te triple date we went on with Matt and Rebekah and Andrea and Jason. It was so much fun- especially the hanging out with adults and no kids part.
2. Going to General Conference this past weekend with Jethro's mom. I didn't even get any pics of the girls with their Grandma either. I need to remember to pull out the camera.

3. Everyday life with the girls. I realize I hardly took any pictures of the girls last month and they are being so cute these days and growing up so fast.

4. The girls playing on the playground at the park a couple of weeks ago. They loved it so much and screamed when we had to leave. Looks like we'll be going back a lot this summer.

Hopefully, I will be back in the mood to take pictures and post more.

Why am I so excited for this week?

  1. Spring Break! (Although not till Thursday)
  2. Nice weather- I think we have finally broken the Snow cycle.
  3. Spring cleaning- I am so ready to sort, clean, and de-clutter.
  4. Spring Festival for Early Intervention.
  5. Planting.
  6. Spring/Summer clothes get to come out of boxes.
  7. Packages that I ordered will arrive this week! (I love shopping sales online.)
  8. I am finally ready to scrapbook- It's been awhile since I've done it and I just have 8 scrapbooks to finish. Not too bad, right?
  9. Easter.

Your Backyard Friends...

Katya and Cali love "The Backyardigans" and they watch it a lot. I think it is actually a pretty cute show, and we haven't gotten annoyed with the songs, yet, and Katya gets mad if we aren't playing them when we drive around. This shot below is one of our favorite episodes, and Katya likes to dance to it, and try to dance the way that the characters do on screen. You can't see the screen very clearly on here, but if you watch it in high quality, then it works out a little better.

Oh, yeah, don't forget to make my life less stressful for voting like crazy for #9 Staci.

Isn't He Sweet...

Yesterday was a long day and I knew I was starting to get a cold. Jethro left last night to run an errand and came back with this:

The biggest cherry limeade with extra cherry that I have ever had. I haven't had one in forever and Jethro was so wonderful to bring me one. I love you Jethro.

Please vote for me!!!

Their is a fabulous company that makes scrapbook storage solutions- like armoire. The company is called Scrapbox. They are giving away one of their fabulous "boxes" called The CraftBox. It is a little smaller than the one in the picture above. (It doesn't have as many fold out panels). I would love to win it for my craft area and am asking for your votes. You can vote Once a Day until April 22. Please, please, please vote for me. I am entry #9- click HERE to vote for me!
