Swim Lessons
We want to get Katya used to the water so she is in Parent/Tot swim lessons this summer. She loves it. Today I finally got her to go under the water without drinking the whole pool. It is her 5th out of 8 days in lessons. She really likes flirting with the little boy in class and also with all the male lifeguards. She flirts so much that she doesn't want to pay attention in lessons. We sing a lot of songs and teach her how to blow bubbles (hasn't quite got that one yet), kick, and float on her back among other things. I'm really glad that she likes the water and is doing good. I am definitely going to be putting her in swim lessons in the future. Here are some pics from her lessons.

How addicted am I?
Jethro always teases me that I am way to addicted to blogging. To prove how addicted I really am, I took this little quiz and here are the results:

It's a.....................
Girl! That's right, we are having another girl. Her due date is Dec. 1st. And we are just so excited! I can't wait for Katya to have a little sister. She is going to do such a good job being an older sister. We haven't thought of any names yet and don't have many ideas. Hopefully we'll be able to figure one out soon because I can't wait 5 more months to figure it out. Here are a few of our baby girl's first pics.

4th of July
This 4th of July was really low key for us. Since Katya and I got back really late the night before, we just slept in and relaxed. It was nice to do. That afternoon we went to Rebekah and Matt's for tacos. They were way yummy. After resting for a bit, we headed to Sugarhouse Park to score some good seats for the show. We lucked out and got a pretty good parking spot that was only about 3 blocks away. We found a nice place on the hill and played games and talked. There were so many people there, but there was so much grass space that it didn't feel crowded. The fireworks show was so cool. It lasted about 20 minutes or so. Katya absolutely loved it all and watched in amazement. It was a lot of fun and a really enjoyable holiday.

I'm back...
It seems as if I am getting farther and farther behind on blogging as everyday passes. There are so many posts that I have needed to do, but haven't really had time to do it at all. Hopefully, I can get all caught up and post all that I need to.
Here;s pictures from our trip to Portland. Katya had so much fun and I really enjoyed seeing my dad's side of the family for the first time in like 5 or more years. Katya enjoyed all of the attention and especially seeing Grandma and Grandpa. She didn't get a whole lot of sleep, but she was always so happy and such a good traveler. She made all sorts of friends when we were at the airport and loved all the attention that the family and strangers gave her. She tried clam chowder for the first time and really loved it. I on the other hand got to have lots of seafood that I haven't had in forever. It was so good because it was all fresh. It takes so different than the stuff we get here in Utah. Katya went to the beach and saw the ocean for the first time and loved it. I'm so glad that I was able to go, but was excited to come home. Jethro really missed us.
Katya is such a good traveler and loved looking out the window.
Katya with her Grandpa Hawks and Great-Grandpa Hawks.
Katya with Grandma and Grandpa at the Tillamook Cheese Factory.
Katya and I in Manzanitta, Oregon.
At Cannon Beach with Haystack Rock in the background.
At Manzinitta. Katya loved the wind.
My dad's side of the family.
Katya's new favorite toy, a plastic straw.
Sunset on the beach.
