Brazilian Visitors

Jethro's dad and his wife and been visiting the states for the past couple of months and made his way to Utah for his last major stop. It has been 3 years since we've seen him so it was nice for him to meet Cali and see a grown Katya. We were able to get the kids to sit still for a few minutes for some pics, but that didn't last long.

After posing for some group pics, the girls just wanted to play. They are all so cute and love to play with their cousin Nya. She is such a patient angel with the girls and absolutely adores them both. We are so lucky to live close by so the girls can learn good things from Nya.

Cali loves to pose now and stick out her hip. This is just one of the many
things Nya has taught the girls.

The fabulous Nya

Katya asking to take pictures with my camera.

I think this is the first time is forever that I have been able to get the girls to sit
still enough for a picture.

These 2 are my favorite. I have no idea what they are laughing about, but I
love the way that it shows their friendship with each other and their personalities.

Cali thinks she is big enough to ride Nya's bike. She actually pedaled,
but I think that it's still a little big.

Preschool time!

This little blue eyed beauty just started preschool! I can't believe that she is 3 and old enough to go. Where has all the time gone? She absolutely loves it, especially with her friend Brenden in her class. She goes 2 days a week for 2 hours and 50 minutes. She always gets so excited to go and I'm so happy that she gets the interaction she needs and the opportunity to learn so much more than I can teach her.

Cali's goodbye hug to Katya. Cali sure misses Katya during school and hasn't quite figured
out what to do with the time that she ha with just me. It's a big adjustment for her, but I
do enjoy the one-on-one time that I have with her.

Walking to school the first day. We are so lucky to have become friends with
Amber and Craig and their cute little boy Brenden (and their new little baby girl).
We just live close by and can walk our kids to school together. It also works great
with them being in the same class and watching each others kid while the other
one volunteers. I has just worked out perfectly.

Katya's pretty excited for her first day and Cali's a little sad for the
upcoming separation. (Cali cries just about everyday that we drop Katya off.)

We were lucky enough that Jethro was able to take the morning off and
come take Katya to school. Katya was pretty excited.

Katya and Brenden by the school flagpole

Brenden is a fabulous friend to Katya and helps her so much. She is often reluctant to
go somewhere without me, but with Brenden holding her hand she will just walk
right in. So precious.

Rumor has it....

If you hadn't figured it out by the poll on the side of the blog, we are expecting a new little one. This pregnancy has been wonderful so I just knew it had to be a boy and I was right. I am excited that will have a lot more blue in the house starting in mid-February. That's right, mid-February. The girls are excited to have a little brother and absolutely enjoy babies. Jethro's so happy to have a little boy to watch football with. I'm just excited.

Labor Day Weekend Fun

We headed up to Matt and Rebekah's for a BBQ and some fun. The Mexican BBQ was fabulous as usual and the kids had so much fun on the inflatable water slide.

Happenings of sorts

Cali's beautiful blue eyes

My birthday lunch- the best BLT ever from Apollo Burger

The next set of pictures is from Silver Lake. Jethro took me there on my birthday to try out my camera.

Cali enjoying a fruit pop

Cali was pretty excited that Megan took time away from her busy
BYU schedule to stop by for a visit and read books.

Katya loved having Susan over to read to her.

Cali loves her cute bunny slippers.

Onesies and a onesie dress I made for a friends baby shower.
You can get the tutorial for the appliqued onesies here.

Up close shot of the onesie dress. So easy and I love it!

Katya loves to sit in the chair and read.

Nya was over and enjoyed cuddling with Cali.
