Why We Stay Up Late at Night

Well, Katya has developed another new skill. This one is pretty amazing, considering. She is pretty flexible and she did this twice before we got it on film. And, it was in the dark when she did it. She apparently just drops after getting up top. We have got to figure out how to make sure she stays in bed!

YES!

A couple days ago, I said Yes! and pumped my arm, and ever since then, Katya has been doing it, too. It is way cuter when she does it, though. If the videos don't show up just yet, wait for a while because YouTube is probably still processing them. C'mon YouTube!



And here are some videos of the girls playing outside last weekend. It was so nice to have a sunny, fairly warm day. I still will miss the snow, but it is good to be able to take the girls outside.

Why am I so excited for this week?

1. My business is up.
2. My parents are coming into town.

My New Business

I love making cards. I would do it all day if I could. Jethro has been wonderful in encouraging me to start my own business. I finally did it. So, without further ado.......

Let's Go Fly a Kite

Because yesterday was so nice, we decided to take a family outing to the park and have a picnic lunch and fly a kite. The girls had a blast walking around everywhere. Even though the wind wasn't very strong, we had a few occasions when the kite got up. It was a blast!

Getting Pushed Around

We took the girls outside yesterday to play because it was so nice. They absolutely loved pushing each other on their Winnie-the-Pooh car.

Curly Ponytails

Isn't she cute? If we give her a bath in the morning and do her hair it is curly and curls over on top of her ponytails so she looks like she has mushrooms on her head. I love her hair up.

The perfect hat head

Cali has the perfect head and face for hats. She looks so cute in them, especially her beanie. (She definitely got that fro Jethro.) She often finds her beanie and brings it out to me along with Katya's. It is so hard to actually hard to take a picture of her in her beanie because when she sees the camera she takes off running and laughing. I was able to snag a few of her and Katya finally.

Every night Cali comes to me and wants this:


How can I resist. I will eat up all the cuddling that she wants to do while she still wants to cuddle with her mommy. I love it.

I love that we were friends long before we started dating and I was able to see what a wonderful person you were even before I liked you. I fell in love with who you were without you trying to impress me.

Well-trained

Katya is really into throwing things in the garbage, whether it's trash or not. It's cute to see her pick a tiny piece of paper up off the floor and carry it to the garbage can. Her "trash can" skills were on full display yesterday after preschool. Right before they let all the kids out of the room, the teachers give the kids their art projects. They open the door and out all the kids come. Katya sees me and starts walking to me (yes, I said walking and she did so unassisted). We are making eye contact and I am talking to her as she is walking to me. Suddenly, she makes a sharp left and heads straight to the garbage can. She throws her art project straight in and then turns and walks to me. No second thoughts about it or anything. She either doesn't like her art or see's us throwing away her projects at the end of every month.

Go on a boat ride on the lake just like we did when we got engaged. It sure was romantic.

Blurb Book

I haven't been able to do by blog book for 2008 because Blurb had stopped allowing you to import from Blogger. My husband just informed me that Blurb is now back to importing from Blogger. Yeah! I am starting my blog book right now and couldn't be happier. If you have been waiting to do yours, it now works so get started!

It's Rainy Today...

So we are spending the day inside and the girls are enjoying their tent.

I resolve to take more self-portraits doing things I enjoy.

I really enjoy the 1 1/2 hours that Cali and I have to spend together when Katya's in preschool 2 days a week. It is great to just have one-on-one time with her. We usually end up running errands, but it is so much fun. She enjoys having mommy to herself sometimes. It's great.
