First Day of Kindergarten

To say that Katya was happy to start kindergarten would be an understatement. She was so excited that it is all she could talk about. She loved waiting at the end of the driveway for her bus and heading to school to meet all of her new friends. She absolutely loves school and can't wait to go every day.

Family visit

While we in Cedar City, Gideon, Becky, and Parker came into town for a wedding and stayed at our house. Since we don't seem them often, it was great to hang out and see the 2 little boy cousins- Parker and Tenzing- play together.

Cedar City and St. George July 28-30

We headed down to Cedar City with Jethro for a work conference.  While Jethro spent Friday in a conference, I took the kids to a splash park in St. George and met up with my friend Marcie and some of her kids. The kids loved playing in the water and with Marcie's kids. Even though it was pretty hot, the water was a nice cool down for the kids.

On Saturday we met up with our friend Tom and his girlfriend Laura at an awesome playground  in Cedar City. They were headed down to Mesa and we were heading back home. The kids loved playing and having a picnic lunch.

Artwork

 I sent the kids outside to play and they spent a couple of wonderful hours covering my steps with the beautiful artwork.

31 Weeks

House Painting

 When we bought our house last year, we knew it was in need of a serious paint job and other outside repairs.  The kids loved helping us prep and paint.  It took a couple of weeks, but it looks so much better!

Homemade Ice Cream

Tenzing had his first batch of homemade ice cream and it was love at first taste for him.

Katya goes on a trip!

Rebekah called one day and asked if Katya wanted to go on a camping trp to Southern Utah with them.  As nervous as I was about Katya running away or having a horrible time, Jethro convinced me that we can't hold on to her forever and to just let her go. I am so glad Jethro is much wiser than I am. Katya behaved herself quite well and had a total blast.  She loved the camping, watching Tangled in the car, playing in the water and riding the atv. I am so glad she had a good experience and so grateful for Matt and Rebekah and being they wonderful aunt and uncle they are and inviting Katya to go.

28 Weeks

Train Ride

We took the opportunity to ride Trax downtown for the chalk art festival while Katya was away on a camping trip with Nya, Matt, and Rebekah.  Cali has been asking for months and months to ride on the train and she thoroughly enjoyed this experience. In fact, they both did.  They loved all the sights and sounds and the whole experience.

Temple Bike Ride

 Jethro rode in round trip fashion and hit all the temples in the Salt Lake Valley.  He got to the first, Jordan River, at 6:53 am and hit the last one, Salt Lake, at 9:44 am. It was a long ride, but I am super proud of Jethro!
