Computer Nightmare

I sold my car the other day so I could buy a new computer. I decided that I could make a better living by working on my own business from home, and so I decided to quit my job, effective immediately. Since I no longer had a car, my friend had to drive me to buy this new computer. It's icy out there...That is the premise for the movie I made a couple weeks ago. I made it to enter it into a contest online. There are not that many other movies, and the best 9 movies will be chosen from the top 20 as the winners. Judging by my competition, I think I have a pretty good shot. Here is the video, watch it, sign up for an account, and vote on my video. Mozy is the company that is sponsoring this contest. I use the company for my online backup. They provide 2 GB of free backup for anyone on their home computer. It is automated, so you tell it what folders or files you want backed up, and it will upload them to the backup servers every night. I like that because I have all my work and grad school files backed up, and then I don't have to worry about losing them. If my hard drive fails, I won't lose all those documents. What Motherhood Means to Me

(I saw this contest on the site 5minutesformom.com and thought I'd give it a chance. It won't hurt to give it a try.) The contest is submit a photo about what motherhood means to you. You could either tell about it or let it speak for itself.

I love baby skin, especially on their feet. I love how it's perfect--not worn from years of walking. I look at my feet and see the paths I've walked and the callouses I've received through the trials of my life. As a mother, I strive to teach my kids to choose the right paths to follow and teach them to make decisions that will take them down the path to the person they want to be. This picture reminds me that as a mother, my responsibility is to help those little feet choose right paths.

Chili's anyone?

Jethro and I are part of this advertising company called BzzAgent. We sample and test out products in BzzCampaigns. As part of our job, we talk to others about the products and our opinions of them. It is a great way for companies to get the word out on new products. Jethro has been involved in quite a few campaigns, but I just started.

My first campaign is for Chili's new Smokehouse Bacon Big Mouth Burger. Can I just say "oh yum". They are so good! They are quite large and one burger could definitely feed both Jethro and me. I had the Southern Smokehouse Bacon Burger. I love bacon and with really thick slices of sweet bacon it was so yummy.

I (Jethro) had the Jalapeño Smokehouse Burger and I really liked it. The burger was good, but it was a little dry. That was a bit of a bummer. The bacon was not as seasoned as Staci's burger, but it was still really good. I don't even like bacon, but this tasted less like bacon and more like cooked ham. The fries are also really good. But, of course, I love French fries and hamburgers, so it is a given that I would love this.
I would definitely recommend this to those who really like burgers and definitely those who like bacon. The really aren't too spicy either (at least mine wasn't).

Now for the fun part--a little contest. This contest will end Tuesday night 8 pm Mountain Time. Just leave a comment saying what your favorite restaurant is. I just got the cutest necklace in the mail the other day. I won a contest on Kristi's blog for my word of the year. The necklace is by Lily Lane and I absolutely love it.
